Paulette Diana Francis Brooks, President/Owner

Paulette spent her days as a young girl creating hair styles for friends. She didn't realize that was just the beginning of dreams to come true. Born in London, England, she later moved to Brooklyn, New York. After working the corporate circuit, including for the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick and Main, she decided to follow her dreams of becoming an entrepreneur.

After relocating to New Haven, Paulette frequented a local salon where she became a good friend of the salon owner. It was that friendship that provided the motivation Paulette needed to pursue her artistic dreams. Her passion, her mentor's encouragements, and a degree in Cosmetology launched her dreams into motion.

Paulette soon made the transition from employee to employer, first in partnership, with her salon owner friend and later opening the doors to her own salon--Authentic Beauty and Body Salon. It was the opportunity to provide the services and products that enhance feeling and looking good for her clients and their lifestyle. The salon is located in the Westville Village which offers a little "New York Soho" ambiance in a tranquil atmosphere. Clients relax to soothing music with a cup of Chai tea, or receive a luxurious massage for the ultimate relaxation.

Paulette's dreams are supported by her two children, Nathaniel and Maygan.
