BIO AUTHENTIC BEAUTY & BODY SALON In 1998, Paulette Brooks opened the doors of her dreams, Authentic Beauty & Body Salon. Her mission was to provide services and products that would enhace the feeling of looking beautiful by also providing personal care specifically designed for individuals and their unique lifestyles. Authentic Beauty & Body Salon has achieved that goal and continues to cater to its clientele with the ultimate indulgent experience in individual beauty attention. Always abreast of prevailing styles, Authentic Beauty & Body Salon is often the forerunner in the introduction of new trends and unique products. As leaders in the field of personal body and beauty care regimen, Authentic remains firm in its belief, "beauty prevails on the inside", as well as the outside. PAULETTE BROOKS (PROPRIETOR) Paulette spent her days as a young girl creating hair styles for freinds. Little did she realize this was the begining of thing to come true. Born in London she later relocated to Brooklyn, New York. After working in the corporate circuit, including the accounting firm Peat, Marmick, and Main; she decided to follow her dreams of entrepreneurship. Relocated in New Haven, Conneticut; Paulette frequented a local salon where she became a good friend of the owner. It was that friendship that provided the inspiration Paulette needed to pursue her artistic dreams. Her passion, her mentor's encouragement, and a degree in cosmotology launched her dreams into motion. Paulette soon made the transition from employee to employer, first in partnership, with her friend and mentor. Later becoming fully independent, opening the doors to Authentic Beauty & Body Salon. It was the opportunity to provide services and products that enhance feeling and looking good, meeting the needs of her clients and their lifestyles. Authentic is located in the Westville Village area of New Haven; offering a "SoHo, New York" ambiance in a tranquil atmosphere. Clients can relax with a warm cup of herbal tea for the mind, a luxurious massage to remove tensions from the body, and soothing music for the soul. All coming together to create the ultimate culmination of relaxation.
